For the past decade, Rawad "Roy" Alame has made a name for himself as a consummate financial service professional. His education and career experiences have served to help others achieve stable financial futures, building wealth for now and for later generations. Roy is a resident of Raleigh, North Carolina, where he is an executive private wealth advisor for a financial firm he founded. When he is not creating wealth and retirement strategies, he can be found sharing his expertise with others as an educator, particularly for young professionals first planning their financial futures.

Education

Roy Alame is highly educated, giving him the tools and knowledge he needs to develop customized estate and retirement planning strategies for his clients. His first educational experiences came in 2001 as an undergraduate at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was then given the opportunity to participate in a Diversity Studies program at the University of California at Berkeley in 2003.

In 2003, after completing the Berkeley courses, Mr. Alame was accepted to Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 2007 with concentrations in finance and economics.

After working as a national accounts manager for a capital investment firm in Provo, Utah, Roy returned to school, this time enrolling in the Masters of Business Administration (MBA) program at Western Governors University in Salt Lake City. He earned his MBA in 2016. This is not the only advanced degree he pursued; he is currently completing his coursework as a Masters of Accounting student at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.

Professional Experiences

Alame has more than a decade of high-level experience as a finance professional. His first role was as a portfolio manager for a firm in the greater Chicago metro area, managing a regional team. His work involved supporting over 200 individual and business clients.

Between completing his undergraduate coursework and his MBA program, Roy served as a healthcare analyst and National Account Manager for Spyglass Capital. Here, he worked with major healthcare vendors and medical facilities across the country, developing funding and investment solutions based on their needs. This experience in the field helped him refine his skills as a financial advisor.

Roy turned his attention to wealth management, working for a nationally-recognized investment firm beginning in 2015 and focusing on both individual and corporate wealth strategies. In addition to constructing tax advantaged estates for high net worth families, he served as a consultant to companies with employee benefits plans.

Alame is also a former advisor for Merrill Lynch.

In 2019, Alame founded Gate Key Financial in Raleigh, North Carolina. As President of the firm, his experience in the financial and investments fields was invaluable as he assisted his clients with their new business launches, venture funding, and networking between corporations and banking interests.
